PSA Adult Basketball Winter 2009

Registration is now open for winter 2009.

Adult Basketball will be played at the PSA 2 Facility.

Dates

• Monday October 20 -- Registration Begins
• Sunday January 4  -- Registration Closes (extended from Dec 30) 
• Wednesday January 7 -- Coaches Meeting 7pm at PSA
• Wednesday January 7 -- Schedules published online at www.psabasketball.org
• Sunday January 11 -- Season Begins
• Sunday March 8 -- Season Ends

General Information

• Team and individual registration
• Individuals can register online - Online Registration
• Games played on Sunday 7-11pm (Friday & Wednesday if needed)
• Women and Men Ages 18 and over (not in high school)
• 8 game season
• Winter season January, February and March
• Officials, Timekeeper/Scorekeeper provided by PSA
• Up to 13 players per team
• Players must sign a code of conduct
• Games played at the new PSA 2 Facility located near Alma and Spring Creek
• Leagues and Divisions will be based on demand
• 5 on 5 Womens
• 5 on 5 Coed
• 5 on 5 Mens under 40 Rec
• 5 on 5 Mens under 40 Competitive
• 5 on 5 Mens 40 and over Rec
• Jersey packages will be available through the PSA Shop

PSA Adult Basketball Frequently Asked Questions

 Can adults over 40 years of age play in the younger league?

Yes, players over 40 can play down.  Players under 40 players cannot play up. If there are adults that are under 40, but would like to play up, we will consider this based on physical condition and skill.

When are the games played?

Games will be played Sunday, Friday or Wednesday depending on number of teams. We will schedule around major events like the Super Bowl.

Are practices included in the fee?

No, teams can rent a court.  The cost is $25 per hour for half court. Please call 972-208-5437and ask for Jerry or send an email to jtaylor@psaplano.org

How many games are played?

There are eight games per season.

Are there any playoffs?

Not at this time.

Are there tournaments for adults?

Not at this time. We are looking to provide tournaments in the future.

Is this the only season for Adult Basketball?

No, PSA will offer Adult Basketball year around. We are planning a spring, summer and fall season.
